HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE

RECYCLING CENTER

 

Did you know the average home can accumulate as much as 100 pounds of household hazardous waste in the basement, garage, bathroom, workshop, and/or kitchen? 

Summit County residents can now properly dispose of household hazardous waste.  There is no charge for acceptable materials and a minimal fee for tires.  The center is located at:

                                1201 Graham Road   
                                 Stow, OH  44224
                          
                           next door to Carter Lumber

The center is open from April through September:    Tuesday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
                                                                      Wednesday 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Household materials that can be accepted at the recycling center include:

latex paint oil based paint solvent based paint stains
shellac varnish wood preservatives
roof coatings driveway sealer caulks pesticides
bleach acids pool chemicals household cleaner
