The Village of Silver Lake purchases its water from the City of Cuyahoga Falls. The Village maintains its own water and sewer systems. The Utility Department is responsible for billing, collection, and customer service for water and sewer service. Utility payments may be made at:

Parking is available adjacent to Village Hall. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 p.m.

A drop box is available in the parking lot so payments may be dropped off at your convenience (checks only).

Water and Sewer Rates

Water and sewer rates are established by Village Council. The current monthly water rate is a $14.73 fixed charge plus $3.07 per unit of water used. The current monthly sewer rate is a $12.60 flat fee plus $3.75 per unit of water used. The current monthly storm water utility rate is $3.00.

Fire Protection Rates

Fire protection service for customers who do not use Silver Lake's water and/or sewer is $14.73 per month plus $3.00 storm water utility charge for a total of $17.73.

Water Meter Reading Schedule

The Village Service Department reads water meters four times a year. Meter readings are conducted during the second week of March, June, September, and December.

Since the Village only reads meters quarterly, residents are urged to record their monthly water meter readings on the reverse side of the remittance stub before mailing in payments.

Those residents that are on the direct payment plan will still receive a bill that can be remitted with their reading.

Residents may also phone in their water meter readings.

If a customer fails to provide a water meter reading, an estimated bill will be generated.
