The Village of Silver Lake is a beautiful community made up of tree-lined streets and gorgeous lakes located in Summit County and nestled between the cities of Cuyahoga Falls and Stow.

The Village of Silver Lake has a rich and colorful history.  The Village began as an amusement park that included an airport and racetrack.  At the height of its success, the park had 10,000 visitors a day.  The park was sold in 1917 and subdivided for residential building.  The Village was incorporated in 1918.

The Village is home to approximately 2,519 residents.  Silver Lake Residents enjoy a multitude of educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities.  Village residents can find quality academics at institutions such as Kent State University and the University of Akron; enjoy a stroll in the MetroParks; attend an Akron Aeros game; or take pleasure in listening to a musical event at Blossom Music Center.

We invite you to share in our wonderful history and take advantage of the many opportunities that await you.  You will enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness that goes along with living in the Village of Silver Lake.

If you have a question or comment for any Village official, please email them directly or email the Mayor at mayor@villageofsilverlake.com and he will forward the message.
